“Alexandru Ioan Cuza” University of Iasi
the oldest university in Romania (alive from 1860 and still rockin’!)
This university is home to over 24.000 students all over the world and it is prestigious national and international-wise, having academic collaborations with over 280 countries from abroad. UAIC has many faculties, such as: Letters, Law, History, Computer Sciences, Biology, Chemistry, Economy and Business Administration, Philosophy and Political Sciences, Geography etc.
The University has 15 student dorms (from C1 to C11, Akademos, Gaudeamus and Buna Vestire). Most of them are situated in Copou, near the “Universitate” Station, near “Emil Alexandrescu” Stadium or near BCU (Central University Library).
UAIC has a main cafeteria called “Titu Maiorescu”, which is near the campus. There’s always something good to eat, but it is open from 1 pm to 5 pm max.
Akademos and Gaudeamus dorms have their own restaurant-cafeteria type.
Inside Corp A (Uni corp), there’s a Café called Tafrali and it is open from 9 am-7 pm. You can have a cup of coffee, tea, shakes (to go or there) or something to eat (sandwich, pies, pastry-cakes). Another coffee shop is the Erasmus Café, near the C5 dorm, open from Monday-Friday from 07:30 am - 18:30 pm.

Gh. Asachi” Technical University of Iasi
one of the first technical universities in Romania
It focuses on research and education in the technical field. For more than two centuries the University is home to the best specialists in electrical engineering, electronics, computers, architecture, mechanics and many more fields.
TUIASI has a number of faculties, such as Architecture, Automatic and Computers, Chemical Engineering, Electronics, Mechanics etc.
University’s campus
There are 21 student dorms, numbered from T1 to T21 and one cafeteria that is open from 12:00 to 19:00 (but around 17:00 there will not be many food options left, so keep that in mind when going). There is also a sports hall that the students can use for free and a medical office.

“Iasi University of Life Sciences” (IULS)
a specialised institution of superior agronomic and veterinary medicine training
IULS provides courses from domains of study of national and international applicability, high-quality training, scientific research performance, access to modern facilities and equipment and also opportunities to participate in the study and practice European mobility programs, which all serve to build successful careers for all of its students.
