Where do I find the cheapest, but best things? Books, clothes and more

As students, we all want to save up some money and for that reason, we might look for some cheap places to buy good stuff from. If you’re looking for trendy and not-so-expensive clothes, you have to check out the outlets in Iasi. The best are the Cream Outlets (you can find one in Piata Unirii - near the tram station/one close to the Mamma Mia Restaurant and another one near Palas); you can also find nice clothes at a reasonable price in the BIG Outlet, which is situated in Piata Unirii. You’ll find in these shops every clothing item you need, at the best price, but be careful, some of them are new and some of them are already worn/used and resold. Just check their condition and if everything looks good to you, then go on and buy it!

If you’re looking for cheap, but good quality books, there are some antique stores in Piata Unirii or the small book stores from Lapusneanu Street, in the Old City center.

If you’re interested in buying other items, maybe mugs or decorations, you can check up Pepco stores (the one in Tudor Vladimirescu or the one from Pacurari). You can find different items there, from pots/plates, towels  to clothing items . Basically, anything you need!

Where can I do some outdoor activities in Iasi? (Biking, running, walking, sport)

You can spend some quality time doing outdoor activities surrounded by nature in Copou Park, Expozitii Park and the Botanical Garden. A lot of people go running or biking on Splai Bahlui. While some prefer these locations due to the fact that they are closer to the city center, others may favour getting away from the hustle and bustle of the city. If this is the case, you should try the Ciric area, by the Aroneanu and Dorobant lakes or even the Bucium plateau.
