ESN Iași is a non-profit organization, run by a group of students who are volunteering to help new Erasmus students integrate and get to know the city of Iași and its culture. The only criterion to join is embracing multiculturalism the way we do!
ESN Iași has been an official member of ESN AISBL since 2008 when it made its first steps towards achieving the goals of the Erasmus Student Network: to facilitate the integration of foreign students in Iași and motivate local students to go abroad with the Erasmus mobility. Since the beginning, ESN Iași made sure to put a mark on the multi-cultural environment of Iași.
ESN Iași holds a record of about 60 volunteers, all working together in order to safeguard the well-being of the Erasmus students coming and their full international experience.
Because of the variety of the subjects and university departments Erasmus students are enrolled in, we collaborate with a considerable number of universities here in Iași, starting with “Alexandru Ioan Cuza” University of Iași, “Gheorghe Asachi” Technical University of Iași, Iași University of Life Sciences, University of Medicine and Pharmacy "Grigore T. Popa" Iași and and “George Enescu” University of Arts.
As no ESN section is like any other, we can boast ourselves with some particularities. We organize plenty of events: cultural (get to know the Romanian culture, while you exchange customs with your international friends!), social events (parties, chill gatherings), trips (Halloween in Transylvania, Escape to Vama Veche) etc. ESN Iași looks after the physical and mental health of the Erasmus students, while maintains a playful, yet mature attitude.
Our main objective is to help students integrate into our society, guide them during their stay in Iași, and help them overcome any cultural differences. We provide opportunities for cultural understanding and self-development under the principle of SHS - Students Helping Students.

Iolanda - Treasurer - She's seen and heard a lot and that makes her a wise member of ESN Iași. Ensuring every penny finds its perfect place and every budget is used beautifully, no treasurer can match her.
Maria - Events Manager - With a sprinkle of creativity, a dash of passion and a heart full of organisational magic, she’s ready to transform every event into a memorable experience.
